An activities leader conducts recreational activities for high-functioning residents, whether it’s through activity groups or one-on-one activity therapy. Under the supervision of the activities director, this position also assists in the planning, development, coordination and implementation of varying levels of activities, among st other daily operational tasks.

Part Time, must be available weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Self-motivated
• Experience in health care preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Physically able to transport residents in wheelchairs
• Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
• Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
• Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
• Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy and ability to work well with fellow staff members
