• Worked numerous positions in both the corporate office as well as on site at CR3. Latest nuclear position was Lead BOP System Engineer. Experience also includes Design, Project Management and Operations.
• Supervised on two occasions, including ECCS systems which included the PDm group and Operations Support which included the Reactor Engineers.
• Root Cause and 50.59 qualified.
• Started Instant SRO class. Opted out when asked to assume the supervisory position in ECCS Systems group.
• Lead engineer for CR3 power up-rate from 2544 MWt to 2568 MWt. Re-performed Accident Analyses and supported the licensing submittal as well as calculation and procedure revisions
• ECCS Piping Replacement - Replaced 304SS Raw Water Flush Water Piping with AL6XN pipe to eliminate the occurrence of under-deposit corrosion. SR Class 3, Seismic
• Boron Precipitation - Project re-performed the spectrum of LOCA analyses developed a compliance approach to addressing the post -LOCA concentration of boron in the core of t he CR3 plant. The approach coordinated efforts from AREVA and CR3 (Engineering and Licensing with Operator training), as well as an NRC Project Manager. This was required prior to Start-up following the design basis outage.
• CR3 Power Up-rate - Increased core thermal power from 2544 to 2568 MW by redoing the Loss of Feed water event (only event done at that power level) and a Technical Specification License Amendment. Coordinated system impact as well as calculation and procedure revisions.
• EOP/AP Re-write -Solely responsible engineering contact for a project which used the generic B&W EOP's and AP's, and made the generic procedures plant specific incorporating plant calculations such as NPSH, Vortexing, Instrument errors, etc. The revised procedures were used on the simulator.
• RWP-l Weight Addition - Weight was added to the top of a large vertical Raw Water Pum...
