Science Program to Inspire Creativity and Excellence (SPICE) Assistant 2011-2012

Designed the curriculum for student activity and led a group of 20 elementary students during the activity. Taught the Scientific Method to grades 3-5 at local elementary schools. Led groups of elementary school students through a hands-on, engineering focused curriculum in SPICE camp. Responsible for the design and implementation of the camp curriculum. Mentored the group during the construction process of a Rube Goldberg machine.

Research Assistant Aug 2011-Oct. 2011
Lund University, Lund, Sweden
Collected two months of data on the time of flight of single electrons in the collaboration with two research groups studying single ionization processes with attosecond pulses. Purpose was to obtain a kinematic view of electrons leaving the molecule. Created Helmholtz coils in three dimensions by developing skills in Comsol.

Undergraduate Research Assistant May 2010-June 2011

Responsible for chemical synthesis of silver films in the study of chemically deposited nanostructured silver films. Analyzed films by observing florescence under a SNOM as well as the surface coverage in a SEM.
