PROJECT DETAILS:

Project guided at Cades Digitech Limited, Bangalore from July 2009 onwards:

• Involvement in Hydraulic Pipes and Brackets for A400M projects.

• Project Manager for ITER India Projects

• Linear Static Analysis of 2D axisymmetric HP Compressor Disc assembly.

• Non-Linear Analysis of Flap assembly using MSC Nastran SOL106.

Project guided and executed at Geometric Limited, Bangalore from December 2006 to March 2009:

Title: Weight Optimization of WLR Antenna System

Description: The Optimization analysis has been carried out for the Antenna system i.e. for the items mounted on the Antenna Shelter. The scope of Optimization is limited to main subsystems such Antenna Frame, Base Frame, Pylons, Supports and Hinges excluding the bought out items. Finite Element Analysis has been carried out for the optimized model using MSC Nastran Software for the Static and Dynamic Analysis of the WLR Antenna System. The Antenna System is subjected to wind loads for the Operating Condition, acceleration loads, normal modes and dynamic loads such as bump loads, random response loads for the Transportation Condition.
Environment: MSC NASTRAN/HYPERVIEW
Client: BEL-GAD

Title: Durability Analysis of Gearbox Coolant Systems

Description: To perform Durability Analysis (Life and Damage Estimation) client supplied 8 parts of Gearbox coolant Systems. FE model, Boundary conditions, Material properties for S-N/E-N curve data and load time history data supplied by the client. Modal Transient Response Analysis (SOL 112) performed for the few selected elements. The output result file of the modal transient response analysis then taken into MSC fatigue to carry out life and damage estimation. Report preparation made.

Environment: MSC PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, MSC Fatigue
Client: Volvo 3P India

Title: Durability Analysis of Lighting Pole

Description: The project included FE modeling and Analysis of a Lighting Pole. The Lighting Pole (30ft height) is welded with the Base Plate of 0.75 inches thickness. The Base Plate is bolted at 4 locations. Due to climatic condition (wind load at 100 mph) the Pole suffers a crack near the welded portion. FE modeling was done in Hypermesh using solid mesh (Hex) and Analysis is carried out in Nastran for Static, Inertia relief and Normal Mode Analysis. Life estimation is carried out in FE-FATIGUE software for the existing design. Alternative concepts are given for the Lighting Pole. Material properties supplied by the client.

Environment: HYPERMESH, MSC PATRAN/ MSC NASTRAN
Client: Cooper Lighting USA

Project guided at Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab, BANGALORE from May 2006 to November 2006:

Title: Optimization of HTS 900 Engine using FIPER System Dynamics Software
Description: Leading and guiding a team of 4 members involved in this project. HTS900-1 Helicopter Engine will replace into the Bell 407 commercial product line which is currently uses the Rolls Royce 250-C47B engine. The full solid model prepared in Catia software and FE mesh created in Hypermesh. The pre/post processing was carried out in MSC Patran/Nastran for normal mode analysis. The results will validate with the test results supplied by the client. After the analysis, the 2nd phase will be optimizing the components by using “FIPER” (Federated Intelligent Product EnviRonment) software.
The works involved in structural analysis are:
• Normal Mode Analysis (Free vibration Analysis)
• Frequency Response Analysis
• Validation with test results data

Environment: HYPERMESH, MSC PATRAN/ MSC NASTRAN
Client: HTSL, Bangalore

PROJECTS CARRIED at Vanguard Info Solutions, BANGALORE: (March 2005-February 2006) for the client GTRE, Bangalore.
