Objectives: Production Supervisor or Senior Manufacturing Engineer. I have over 21 years experience in manufacturing, beginning as a Manufacturing Supervisor.

Profile
I am an expert-level highly technical Manufacturing Supervisor and Senior Manufacturing Engineer with over 21 years experience to offer. I am also a Military trained nuclear engineer who served aboard Ballistic Missile nuclear submarines in the US Navy. My experience also includes Project management of new product/part/process and tooling design, from product development and installation through startup. I have worked in an ISO approved process environment. I perform FMEA’s. I direct and use PPAP approval techniques for tooling and equipment runoffs. I have a proven success track record for developing, deploying, and managing projects, from concept through startup with objectives centered on employee training, quality and cost reduction.

My father was a professional carpenter and furniture maker. My brothers and I apprenticed under him. I am originally from the Boston, Mass. Area.

1988-2009: Senior Manufacturing Engineer Project Engineer and Project Manager for Harley-Davidson. Also the polishing, painting and chrome plating engineer. (Offered an early company paid retirement package in 2009 due to economic downturn).

1991 Harley switched to computer simulation, (Automod) I was sent to Utah for training and became the simulation model Senior Manufacturing engineer for Harley. I created dynamic models of the manufacturing plants and work cells and we merged Kaisen and simulation modeling together for process improvements and new plant designs.
Converted Paint Robots from spray guns to HV. Bell applicators(minimizing overspray and significantly improved painted surface finish. Better control than spray guns)
Purchase and startup new Equipment as required for Press, Welding, Laser, Metal Fab., pretreatment, Paint and plating systems.
Startup and test all systems (PPAP)
Process improvements and cost reductions
Implemented all new power and free conveyor systems.

Process Engineering Supervisor and Tool Room Supervisor Products Produced; NC and CNC machining of kinetic energy projectiles, timers, fuses, rocket motor bodies, mortars and various classified weapons systems and controls. Lead Engineer for finishing pretreatment; Phosphate; Zinc Anodizing and paint applications. My combined departments consisted of approx. 50 salaried and hourly people.

1984-1985: AMP Inc. Industrial Engineer, Harrisburg, Pa.
Worked in development of communications cabling and harness systems and connectors. Stampings and electrical connector components used in automotive, aerospace, and military applications. Zinc and copper continuous plating. Knowledgeable on Mil-Q 9858 and other military specifications and test procedures.
