EDUCATION:
University of Massachusetts (M.S.E.C.E.) Amherst, MA
-M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, program focused on radar and RF systems engineering
-Thesis topic: 'Implementing Pulse Compression in the Imaging Wind and Rain Airborne Profiler (IWRAP) Airborne Doppler Radar/Scatterometer'- http://scholarworks.umass.edu/theses/237/
-Graduated February 2009

Syracuse University (B.S.E.E.) Syracuse, NY
-Electrical Engineering major with a minor in Engineering and Computer Science Management

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Woburn, MA
2008 – Present Systems Engineer; AN/TPY-2 Radar System Test and Integration
-Currently part of a team responsible for calibrating a new AN/TPY-2 radar in a near-field range before shipping it to site to perform calibration and initial testing prior to customer hand-off
-Over the course of 10 months, lead a team of ~8 engineers through a successful radar testing event from start to finish
-This included presenting pre-mission (proving test readiness) and post-mission (proving test success) data analysis reports to chief engineers and the customer (Missile Defense Agency)
-Worked on teams of 4+ people performing radar system testing, running simulations and analyzing simulated and live data
-Assigned a task gathering radar inputs for radar testing missions, eventually learning to create these radar inputs for live radar test events and deployed radars (proficient in APEX, SVN)
-Was responsible for analyzing live radar data (using primarily MATLAB based tools) and producing reports for the customer and missile defense community
-Created numerous radar mission plans, which include designing search plan parameters and transmit waveforms for search, track, and discrimination

UMASS Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (MIRSL) Amherst, MA
2006 – 2008 Research Assistant
-Upgraded the IWRAP control system, transmit waveform, receiver, and computer interface
-Became proficient using the Linux OS and implementing C-based code
-Installed, debugged, tested, calibrated, and operated the IWRAP radar system on NOAA P-3 hurricane hunter aircraft at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL
-Collected data to measure ocean wind vectors within tropical cyclones
-Gained experience through building, debugging, deploying and operating various ground based remote sensing radar systems
-Learned to work effectively and efficiently in the field and lab alone and as part of small groups
-Presented thesis topic ‘Implementation of Pulse Compression on an Airborne Scatterometer’ at the 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS)

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Bedford/Sudbury/Woburn, MA
2004 – 2006 Technical Intern
- Wrote, tested, and debugged software for release needed to support a test project
-Worked on a test and integration team c...
