Summary/Profile
Supervised drilling of over 200 Coal Bed Methane Wells in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming for Anadarko Petroleum from 7-04 to the present. This work included preparation of daily reports using Open Wells software, notification of state & federal agencies, coordination all field services for drilling, picking coal tops, determining drilling depth, casing depth, calculating cement volumes for single & multiple stage cement jobs, perforating & squeeze cementing and overseeing the company safety program onsite. I have worked as a drilling consultant since December of 2002. Supervised drilling of over 150 coal bed methane wells as Drilling Foreman for Evergreen Resources in the Raton Basin of Colorado from 9-01 to 12-02. Supervised drilling, open hole logging, casing and cementing operations and coordinated all field services for drilling. Prior to 12-02 I was an Area Engineer for the Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission working eastern Colorado for 12 years, and worked for Phillips Petroleum as a Production Engineer for 5 years in eastern Montana and North Dakota after graduating from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Supervise drilling of Coal Bed Methane wells to 3500’ in the Raton Basin of Colorado and the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. Most of the wells were in Wyoming for Anadarko Petroleum(previously Western Gas Resources). Duties include notifying appropriate government agencies of spud, supervising drilling, picking coal tops, picking casing setting depth, supervising running & cementing of casing, supervising logging, perforating and squeeze cementing operations, preparing daily drilling reports using OpenWells computer software and arranging all necessary services to get the well drilled and cased.

Supervised all phases of drilling operations including drilling, open hole logging, fishing, running and cementing production casing. Coordinated all necessary services and supplies for drilling operations. Coordinated and supervised squeeze cementing operations and well service work.

Field Engineer, Colorado Oil & Gas Conservation Commission 12/89 – 9/01
Performed field inspections in northeast and southeast Colorado. Supervised plugging and abandonment of orphaned wells, witnessed casing cementing and plugging operations, investigated complaints and observed spill cleanup and remediation. Reviewed and approved work requests, follow up reports (Form 4), and completion reports. Investigated and resolved landowner complaints.
