SKILLS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
MANUFACTURING AND PROCESS ENGINEERING
• Successfully executed the start-up of the new TDK plant in the Philippines by setting up the new process namely: Photolithography Process that included MR Masking, Row Bonding, Lamination, Photo Process, Development; and Vacuum Process that included DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Process, Ion Milling and RIE (Reactive Ion Etching) Process of the Slider Fabrication, a process that produces the magnetic recording head of computer hard disk drives.

• Installed of the new equipments and machines used for production in the Photolithography Process such as MR Mask Machine, Row Bonding Machine, Laminator, Stepper and Developer; and Vacuum Process such as DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Machine; Ion Milling Machine and RIE (Reactive Ion Etching) Machine during the plant start-up of TDK Corporation in the Philippines.

• Trained and developed efficient new employees such as Engineers, Technicians, Technical Operators and Production Operators by imparting them my knowledge about the Photolithography Process and Vacuum Process, their respective duties and responsibilities, the basic operation of the machines involved, the most common defect met and the solutions needed to minimize the causes of these defects; and the basic procedures of the processes at TDK Philippines Corporation and SAE U.S. Magnetics.

• Initiated all documents and instruction cards on process and maintenance procedures after setting up the process and installing the new equipments and machines used for production in both the Photolithography Process and Vacuum Process.

• Qualified new projects for Pre-mass production by monitoring them when they undergo trial at the Photolithography Process and Vacuum Process; solving the process defects and issues met during the test run; and suggesting improvements necessary before mass production starts.

• Maintained the Rework Rate at 5% in the Wafer Photolithography Process by closely developing, evaluating monitoring and improving manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, in-depth know how of the Photo process, tooling and Stepper capabilities as well as constant improvement of quality control standards.

• Maintained the Rework Rate at less than 5% at Vacuum Process through constant development, evaluation and improvement of manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and part, in-depth know how of the Vacuum process, tooling and equipment capabilities as well as constant improvement of quality control standards.

• Made significant reduction in Template Bond Rework from 40% to 0 % through constant process improvement like adjusting the glue rate, re-certification and training of production operators and constant evaluat...
