Chief Executive Officer/Administrator January 2009- February 2012
Responsible for planning and developing the home care agency services to be fiscally sound, and follow agency policies and procedures.
Initiated and developed the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance (CDPAP) in Ontario, Yates, Orleans, and Monroe. Submitted and received approval from the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) for over 100 personal care payer codes. Submitted annual cost reports to NYSDOH. In one year, the program created 60 new jobs and serviced over 25 new clients and generated annual revenues of $1 million in new business.
Created, submitted and received approval from NYSDOH for the Home Health Aide and Personal Care Aide training program and the agency Policy Procedure Manual. Implemented trainings for staff.
Authored, submitted and received approval from NYSDOH for the Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) Waiver and the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver Program for the Finger Lakes Region. Services approved includes; Service Coordination, Independent Living Skills Trainer, Home and Community Support Staff and Registered Nurse oversight. Grew NHTD program from 0 hours to over 600 hours of service per week. Grew TBI program from 0 hours to over 800 hours per week. Both programs are generating over $1 Million in sales in less than one year.
Created an employee handbook that set all policies including personal time accrual, and hourly rate.
Authored, submitted and received approval from NYS DOH for a new chain of command and created new job descriptions to include Assisted Living Program Director of Nursing, Director of Waiver Services, Director of Nursing, Director of Human Resources, Director of Quality Improvement, COO, CFO, Home Care Manager, Attendant, Independent Living Skills Trainer, and Service Coordinator. All of these new positions reported to CEO. From 2009 to 2012 increased staff pool from 11 staff members to over 100 active employees.
Co-Authored submitted and received approval from NYS Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Angels in Your Home/Hilton East Assisted Living Compliance Program.
Point of Contact for all state and federal relationships surrounding Medicaid programs and Licensed Home Care Service Agency Issues. Responsible for all Plan of Corrective Actions (POCA) to DOH.
