•Managed project to develop and launch the official company’s web page. The web page includes product information, marketing material and tools for the clients to pay their policy, quote new policies, file a Claim and view their policies details and information and claim status.

•Led and managed a project to design, develop and implement a website to provide services to the insurance agents/producers. Services included, view detailed information of the production and commission, search for clients policies, view claims status, pay the clients policies, quoting tools and detailed reports for their operation.

•Managed project to develop and implement an online payment tool for the company’s employees, producers and clients. More than $2,000,000/month is currently process through the application.

•Planned, led and performed marketing strategies in order to maximize portal usage.

•Measured Portal usage for the web applications developed by the e-Business unit.

•Manage day to day activities of the department to ensure 100% up time and proper operation of the multiple web pages owned by the company.

•Led project for the establishment of a telephone IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system that allows customer’s payments via phone and also provides customer’s account information. The IVR currently process about $75,000/month in payments for the company.

•Led project using Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies to reduce the percentage of abandoned calls in CAICO Call Center. A reduction from 32.8% to 9.81% was obtained after project completion, which resulted in an improvement of customer satisfaction.


•Led Kaizen Projects in several Departments of the organization to improve service performance, also to decrease operating expenses.

•Developed and documented SOP’s (Standard Operational Procedures) for different Departments within the organization.

•Worked with a team to prepare CAICO Insurance Company to get certified in ISO 9001 Certification. (International Organization for Standardization)

•Reduced internal PPM’s (Parts per Million) in assembly lines by identifying, understanding and controlling the two major causes. A 49% reduction in internal PPM’s was obtained.

•Partnered with a supplier (Arecibo Plant) to improve quality of parts coming into the Humacao plant and obtained 20% improvement in the lot acceptance yield.

•Led project to change and upgrade the quality of the material for the Arc Chute Side that resulted in the elimination of the silicone process to the part and also generated savings of $15,000/year approximately.
