Nuclear Fire Protection Program Engineer
• Performed day-to-day support of the Oconee Nuclear Station fire protection program.
• Reviewed and approved transient combustible requests, fire impairments; and interfaced with various station groups to resolve fire protection related issues.
• Responsible for the fire protection engineering and safety of nuclear components at the Oconee Nuclear Station.
• Prevented and mitigated the occurrence of fires at the Oconee Nuclear Station using established fire protection program methods, technologies, codes, and standards.
• Ensured the maintenance of all fire protection equipment and systems at the Oconee Nuclear Station in accordance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulatory guidelines. Sic NFPA, NEIL, 10CFR and NRC.

• Conducted and aided in the development of Fire Hazard Analysis (FHA) consultation and preparation at two large nuclear facilities under DOE, and NFPA code standards; including risk-based analysis for the fire loading in the facilities.
• Conducted and aided in the development of Mechanical Ventilation Soot Loading calculations under DOE, and NFPA code standards in a nuclear environment for input into the facility FHA.
