• Assist Environmental Waste Management Organization (EWMO) in order to verify and complete documentation to assure compliance with Conduct of Engineering program in support of validating compliance with a Performance Based Initiative referencing a Consent Agreement with the State of New Mexico to ship TRU-waste to a final destination. Complete the Master Equipment List, both System and Component level, for Category 2 nuclear facilities. • Responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control and closeout of engineering services for nuclear and non-nuclear facility construction projects. Coordinate the D&D of several gloveboxes in the Plutonium Facility (TA-55). Assisted with the implementation of a Configuration Management process in accordance with 10CFR50, Appendix A at TA-55. Act as the liaison between the design agency and Laboratory management for the production of design documents. Oversee and coordinate approximately 80 projects annually and a staff of five project managers. Assist with quality reviews and oversaw selection/management of internal and external design teams. Responsible for training Project Leads in the performance of their duties; also responsible for supervision of project staff, approving all materials, equipment, subcontractor invoices, initiating Project Controls, resolving discrepancies regarding performance, scheduling project hours, selecting subcontractors and negotiating subcontracts. Responsible for coordinating the receipt, review and response to the performance matrix between the design agency and Laboratory management. Conduct annual Performance reviews and interviews, make hiring and firing decisions. Continue to carry out duties of contracts manager.
