PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
From May 2010 to July 2012:
Project Manager for the Construction Division of Azzouz Group, a worldwide leader, manufacturer, supplier and distributor of many building products for commercial, mid-rise and low-rise buildings (steel and concrete structures).
Duties included marketing the products to construction firms, preparing cost estimates, acquiring suitable contractors and review and negotiate the contractors’ proposals, review architectural plans, develop a project plan, supervise the construction activities and assure quality in the implementation of the plans.

Over 18 years of professional work experience in the Construction Management, Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI), and design for Civil and Structural projects.
Experience in the construction of roads, infrastructure and structures was hands-on as I was involved in all aspects of the construction, testing of earthwork, concrete, structural steel, underground utilities, traffic signal equipment installation, storm water drainage, above-ground piping, and electrical.
I functioned as a Client Representative, Construction Project/Office Engineer, Civil and Structural Design Engineer, and co-author of several engineering publications. • As a Construction Project Engineer, I led several CEI projects within South Florida in which I was responsible for construction project team staffing, personnel scheduling, permitting, presentations, negotiations, proposals/estimates, safety, progress meetings, provide daily, weekly, & monthly reports, manage subcontractors, change orders/supplemental agreements, document control, final quantities, claim defense and maintaining good working relations with the owner and contractor.

• As a Final Estimates Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) - District 4 Construction, I was responsible for performing Final Estimates audits for all construction projects within Broward County, Florida.

• As a Civil and Structural Design Engineer, I designed AASHTO beam, steel box, and concrete box girder bridges. I was also responsible for substructure design, bridge geometry, construction layout, foundation layout, quantities calculations, seismic analysis and retrofit design of highway and pedestrian bridges

Construction cost $8 million. This project involved Maintenance of Traffic, clearing and grubbing, concrete sidewalk removal, median removal, directional boring, median widening, turning lane extensions, utilities relocation, ADA sidewalk improvements, 15 drilled shafts and mast arm installations, street lighting and traffic signalization, new signage installation, irrigation and landscaping, milling and resurfacing. .
