Project Scope: Repair of existing Automatic People Mover (APM) loop system.

Duties include:
Review all design work and proposals to ensure: Recognize and address repair interfaces relative to system design elements. Review drawings and proposal from contractor for compliance with BTH requirements.
Oversee and enforce BTH repair requirements.

Construction & Installation Engineer Jul 09 – Jul 11
Bombardier Transportation, Holdings Atlanta, GA
Project Scope: Extension and upgrade of existing APM loop system and vehicles.

Duties include:
Review and ensure proper system installation of the underground APM loop system, including the review and corrections of other contractor’s drawings to meet BTH’s drawing specifications. Oversee and enforce BTH construction and civil installation requirements.
Guide and direct various technical personnel and subcontractors in the timely installation, testing and approval of guideway mechanical switches.
Assisted the other engineers and technical personnel in the electrical and system communications, both new installation and tie-ins to the existing system.
Assisted with the receiving and testing of new vehicles to allow integration into the existing system.
Develop schedules for testing based on system needs and progress. Implement “workaround” plans to mitigate adverse effects of delays on the contract schedule.

Duties include:
Guide and direct all technical personnel, vendors, and subcontractors in the timely installation, testing and commissioning of all aspects of the Bombardier system including vehicles, train control, communications, and PS&D. Daily interfacing with project team, site O&M manager and customer.
Lead the system installation and test effort including cost estimate reviews, schedule reviews, quality compliance of subcontractors, evaluation of change and claim management, definition and mitigation of installation, testing and commissioning risks, capture and development of opportunities, and HSE management.
Direct and monitor the activities of all professional/technical staff and contractors in installing, testing, and commissioning of the Bombardier system.
Develop schedules for testing based on system needs and progress. Implement “workaround” plans to mitigate adverse effects of delays on the contract schedule.
