Rehabilitation of Nine Bridges in Westchester County for NYSDOT, New York
Inspected for compliance of all applicable codes, standards and project specifications. Responsible for the installation of reinforced concrete structures, duties included the excavation and preparation of sub grade, proper placement of reinforcement steel, installation and protection of finished concrete structures. Oversaw structural lifting operation. Installed bearings. Painted superstructures. Duties also included maintenance and protection of traffic and striping of the roadway. Measured and computed quantities of completed work, preparation of inspector’s daily reports etc.

Pavement Resurfacing, Rockland County, New York
Inspection of milling of existing roadway of NYS Thruway Authority and the placement of new asphaltic concrete wearing course. Duties also included the monitoring of the maintenance and protection of the approved traffic pattern. Prepared daily inspection reports and measured, recorded and computed all appropriate completed work for payment.

Rehabilitation of Springfield Blvd, Queens Village Area
Work included the complete reconstruction watermains, sewers, and new class A roadway with new curbs, sidewalks, street lighting, traffic signals, tree plantings and pavement markings. Duties included the inspection of placement of new concrete base for the full width of roadway. Responsible for the excavation of the old roadway, preparation of the sub grade, controlling the arrival of concrete trucks and the installation of the concrete base, finishing and curing. Preparation of daily reports for all work done which included sketches, measurements and compilation of contract quantities.

Condition inspection, rating and study/report for 24 piers, including the Chelsea piers, along the Hudson River between Battery Park City and 57th Street for New York State Department of Transportation. Project included the piers, bulkhead, deck and pile support systems and building structures. Project also included design services for rehabilitation for Pier 66A, a historic railroad transfer floatbridge. Engineer responsible for structural inspection, included load rating and analysis for the preparation of study reports. Structural Engineer for design of floatbridge structure.

East 60th Street Pier, New York, New York
Engineer responsible for preparation of rehabilitation design. The rehabilitation consisted of encapsulation of timber and steel piles, pile jacketing, and extensive seawall repairs. The project was part of the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Marine Services Call-In.
