- The client has a refinery site in the Edmonton area and they needed Network Analyst to join their team on contract for a build and install project. The client is moving away from HP Procurve Hardware and is installing Juniper 4200 series equipment.
- Pre-stage
Follow work package instruction. Receive, record, unbox, power up, burn-in Juniper network equipment. Perform agreed firmware and RIOS version upgrades. Deploy basic configuration detail. Label equipment and maintain records, communicate status. Report failures and organize RMA’s . Work under the direction of Solution Designers
- Install
Follow work package instructions. Provide input to Change Management. Transport, rack, cable, power on, test equipment within the job site. Document deviations and maintain records of equipment deployments and retirements. Communicate status and progress to the Project Coordinator. Follow site permitting procedures. Identify potential physical impacts or limitations of equipment mounting locations. Add devices to correct monitoring and configuration management tools.
- Turn-up and move to production
Assist the Solution Designer, apply configuration changes, act as hands and eyes, and perform remedial actions. Perform testing, collect results. Communicate status, identify issues and incidents.
