Resume

A dynamic leader, I reorganized manufacturing lines to achieve extraordinary efficiency in production. I have implemented cutting-edge manufacturing techniques and process improvements to dramatically increase performance. I am also adept at recruiting and leading a diverse staff to deliver results. My strengths include:
•Devising solutions to streamline operations, enhancing productivity and quality
•Implementing technology solutions to improve performance
•Formulating action plans to maximize operations
•Developing and leading staff training to improve competence and retention

Dramatically increased production. Challenged to improve production of Apiqe’s new water dispensing system. Improved production layout, quality and safety. Streamlined manufacturing procedures. Trained personnel on proper/efficient use of tools and equipment. Drove production from five to 60 units per week in less than two months.
Redesigned tooling and received patent. As the Trac-line Project Manager at Hughes Aircraft to modernize mechanical assembly division. Created LEAN, ergonomically sound assembly procedures and designed and created labor-specific ergonomic tools and tooling fixtures. Awarded patent for a new–concept moveable support arm.
Brought manufacturing in house. HiShear; as Technical Head Manufacturing Engineering I was committed to reduce outsourcing all of our manufacturing. Researched costs established a two-year ROI and received approval to bring manufacturing in house. Purchased15 machine centers eliminated 90% of outsourced part manufacturing and decreased costs 38.2%.
Created new profit center. The new Precision Machining Center for manufacturing/machining was so efficient I proposed marketing our services to other manufacturers. As the Technical Head I developed price quotes, managed budgeting, scheduling and production, and oversaw logistics. Produced high quality parts on schedule and within budget, establishing profit center.
Reduced costs and waste. Anthony International had unacceptable levels of glass discarded due to scratching. Developed procedure to buff out scratches with minimal visual distortion, meeting requirements of no scratches over one inch or visible at 18 inches. Reduced scrap 75%, improved throughput 32% and cut costs 68%.
