DUTIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENT:
Oracle Solution Architect for Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). Provide functional and technical expertise to the system integrator (Oracle). Support analysis and specification for GCSS-MC interfaces within the Oracle 11i E-Business Suite environment, focusing on business rules, data models for integration, conversions and synchronizations, business portfolio, and SOA standards for interfacing with legacy subsystems.
Used skill in Architecture Development Methodology to develop a series of Business, Information System and Technology Architectures and led the design and orchestration of a series of RICE (Report, Interface, Conversion and Extension work products) objects to deliver the GCSS-MC Item Unique Identification (IUID) capability in accordance with DoD Instruction 8320.04, related to Item Unique Identification Standards for Tangible Personal Property and Marine Corps Order 4000.51B on Automated Identification Technology. Supported development of a Marine Corps architecture transition to an Oracle based retail Warehouse Management System (WMS) through conversion from the legacy Storage Retrieval Automated Tracking Integrated System (STRATIS) to Oracle 11i E-business Suite (EBS) Warehouse Management System with the adoption of Mobile Suite Chain of Applications (MSCA) as well as Automated Identification Technologies (AIT).
Architected the Marine Corps IUID solution consisting of:
• A conversion of the Marine Corps legacy IUID marked items from the Temporary Data Store (TDS) system.
• A near real time web service interface with the DoD IUID Registry system to verify the registration of Unique Item Identifier (UII) using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
• An SFTP based interface which allows the Marine Corps to provide updates to the IUID Registry system. This interface provides cradle to grave lifecycle events occurring in GCSS-MC to the IUID Registry; thus maintaining both system in delayed synch.
• An extension of the Oracle ebusiness suite using Oracle APEX technologies; this helps Marine Corps units review and address data quality issues pertaining to UII and items marking.
Architected the GCSS-MC Issue Release/Receipt Document (IRRD) in accordance with the Approved Defense Logistics Management System (DLMS) Change (ADC) 399 pertaining to Automated Data Capture for Serialized Item Shipments and Preparation of the IRRD (DD Form 1348-1A or DD Form 1348-2).
