Project Engineer / Design Analyst
Leads product development by Performing static, impact, fracture and dynamic stress analyses on tractor components for structural integrity and endurance and provide assessment of design margins for its integration in the system design. Conduct nonlinear analyses on bolted chassis assemblies to evaluate adequacy of the components and recommend design changes. Prepare technical reports documenting analysis result. Interact with team of engineers and analysts, as well as managers and vendors, to carry out analyses and implement recommendations. Interact with testing group and develop testing plan, provide load data, identify strain gage location, correlate analysis result and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Execute rollover(non-linear, large deformation) and falling object (high impact) protective structural analysis on the tractor cab to evaluate its structural integrity and the safety of the operator in the tractor cab as per regulatory specification (OECD) and substantiate the result to customer and regulatory inspector. Monitor the in-service product lifecycle to record the structural environment, characteristics and performance, investigate the field failure data and develop improvements for future designs.
Calculate the stress intensity factor of solid components and recommend design changes for damage tolerant design. Conduct vibration analysis to calculate natural frequencies structural components and recommend design changes to prevent resonance. Conduct transient dynamic analysis and evaluate fatigue life. Employ classical mechanics approach to execute force/load transfer and stress calculations on components. Estimate fatigue life of welded structural components based on structural stress method using Batelle software. Train and mentor new and junior staff.

Key Achievements and Projects:
• Identified ways of reducing manufacturing costs through analysis, resulting in cash savings.
• Developed methodologies for nonlinear contact analysis of bolted gray iron castings assemblies.
• Adeptly optimized material / geometry of components for weight and cost reductions.
