Contracted work for Alliant Energy Fox Lake Generation Station, Sherburne, MN. Control Room Operator/Turbine Operator, which included responsibilities for the entire Power Generation Facility.

STROM ENGINEERING INC, Minnetonka, MN 2010-2012
Control Room Operator, November 2010- May, 2012
Operated two 400-pound coal fired high-pressure boilers, and two backpressure turbines. The steam we generated was then, used for the manufacturing process. Duties included water testing/sampling, softener regeneration; boiler controls were Delta V. Fire protection systems monitored 24 hours a day.

Shift Supervisor Power Plant Operations, March, 1989-1998
Supervised shift operations of boilers/turbine generator for a power plant facility. Duties included supervising all phases of plant construction and start-up, from new equipment installation through all phases of final acceptance testing. Duties also included performing facility safety training for all power plant employees, and contractors on all OSHA required safety standards.

Operated coal fired B & W pulverized, and four Detroit Stokers coal fired boilers, including a 25 MW turbine to produce steam for the U of M Minneapolis Campus. This involved the start-up and commissioning of the SE power plant. Other duties included water sampling/testing, softeners regeneration, coalbunker management, scrubbers, bag house, and atomizers. Other duties included all CEM monitoring, and maintenance during outage periods.
