Job Title: VAS Lead Architect, Sr. Manager
Functions:
 Successfully managed the VAS design team achieving the introduction of the following VAS services (SMS, MMS, Location, WAP Browsing, SDP, Short Codes, Content Delivery and Video Streaming) in Nextel’s four 3G markets (Peru, Chile, Mexico and Brazil).
 Designed interoperability functionalities between iDEN and 3G VAS Platforms.
 Worked with cross-functional, multi-country, multi-cultural teams to determine requirements to different VAS projects.
 Assisted with RFPs/RFIs/RFQs for new VAS technologies, standards and architectures, evaluated responses, presented recommendations to peers and executive team.
 Facilitated Vendor relationship, providing inputs for feature requests and platforms enhancements.
 Coordinated everyday vendor interaction between Nextel Headquarter and outsourced vendors (Ericsson, Nokia-Siemens, HP, and Huawei).
 Produced method of procedures, network designs and service description documents based upon direction from engineering primes, vendor documentation and lab validation.
 Conducted lab trials and evaluated multiple vendor products against 3GPP or OMA specs.

 Technical and Program lead for the integration of mobile applications (iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile) with Satellite user terminal products.
 Worked as part of an International/multi-site team to develop, document and implement standards for engineering design and practices.
 Developed and administered engineering concepts, preliminary and final design review processes.
 Wrote the technical requirement specification document for the procurement of the IMS Core, Packet Core Network and IMS Client for user terminals for Globalstar’s second generation ground stations.
 Wrote requirements for the new Lawful Interception solution for Globalstar’s 2nd Generation ground station to be compliant with North America and European Standards.
 Evaluated architecture and proposals from different Core Network vendors.
