6/2011 – Present, Mechanical Structures and Payloads Engineer:
• EMARSS project - Initial design and release of detail parts, installations and assemblies using MBD, in Catia V5. Worked closely with Manufacturing Engineering group to ensure assemblies and installations were designed in the most feasible way for easy fabrication. Worked with human factors to ensure designs were ergonomically correct. Design research involved surveying existing aircraft to determine locations of existing structure, tolerances, and original design intent.
• 787 PSE project - Part investigation to analyze cost/weight saving opportunities for 787 mid-body sections. Duties include investigating material changes, redesigns for commonality between aircrafts, and altering fabrication styles for easier and quicker manufacturing. Create a “4-Square” report and submit lead to summarize findings and overall suggestion.
