Serve as Independent consultant with Vacuum and Cryogenic Consultants, LLC. VACC is a full service engineering and consulting firm serving Industrial, Academic and Government customers in the world wide technology market. VACC designs and installs custom cryogenic and vacuum process equipment, provides cryogenic and vacuum training and Expert Legal Witness services.
Recent Projects & Achievements:

- Photovoltaic Deposition System: Designed Copper – Indium – (Di)Selenide Physical Vapor Deposition system for pilot solar panel manufacturing plant, Monterey Mexico.
- Cryogenic Engineering: Lecturer, annual four-day Cryogenic Engineering short course presented to Engineers, Analysts, Technicians and Managers.

CYMER, SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA 2007 - 2010
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Responsible for leading development and deployment of manufacturing and test equipment for life cycle improvement of Excimer laser product line. Led team of five technical staff. Additional duties steering development of vacuum system supporting the Extreme Ultra Violet (EUV) plasma light source in collaboration with ASML, Holland.

Key Projects & Achievements:
- Gauge Management Program: Developed and deployed broad range gauge management plan for Excimer laser chamber manufacturing line, leading to increase in first pass module yield from 55% to > 95% and resulting in cost avoidance of $3.9M in fiscal year ‘09.
- Extreme Ultra Violet Light Source (EUV): Steered layout, modeling and implementation of a H2 vacuum system supporting the 13 nm EUV plasma light source. Led European based project team, completing project on extremely aggressive schedule.

RAYTHEON MISSILE SYSTEMS, Tucson, Arizona 2005 – 2007

Served as group leader of Cryogenic Technology development and integration projects supporting Electro-Optics (EO) and Advanced Development (AD) Centers. Develop theoretical analysis, prototypes and detailed designs. Prepare documentation, author proposals and expand intellectual property. Perform trade studies, ensure budget compliance, manage business development efforts with industrial partners.

Key Projects & Achievements:
- Cryogenic EO Assembly: Managed development of Electro-Optical sensor assembly based on a split-Stirling cooler for exo-atmospheric sounding rocket test, completing project ahead of tight launch schedule.
- Stirling Cooler Based FPA: Directed a cross-functional team of 6 in development of a modular Focal Plane Array, Dewar and cryocooler assembly; built and managed engineering team, developed specifications, performed make / buy analysis, design validation and managed $500K budget.
-Compact Superconducting MRI Magnet System: Developed cryogen-free magnet design for DARPA proposal in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and STERN Magnetics.
