PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Feb 2012 Building Integration Specialist, Robinson Solution Inc.
- Work on a team of three Integration Specialists designing,
installing, and providing monitoring services for building
automation & HVAC control systems.

- In addition to devising unique power metering architecture schemes
for electricity consumption monitoring of commercial and industrial
facilities, we also integrate our central building automation
platform (Tridium Niagara) with pre-existing automation systems
already operating in the buildings. Examples of systems having
integrated with to date include: Comfort Carrier Network, Honeywell
WEB 600, Johnson Controls - Metasys, and Automated Logic.

- Most recently, my specific job function has had a sharp focus on
research, design, development, and deployment of advanced fault
detection and diagnosis techniques using highly advanced control
engineering and statistics algorithms. Essentially, the algorithms
developed in-house have been designed to remotely detect HVAC system
failures simply by running the various routines against system
performance data in real time.

Aug 2011 Sales Engineer, Robinson Solution
- Job description spanned several departments: Operations -
executive assistant to the Director of Operations (Dwight Mains),
Engineering – performing mechanical engineering functions which
included CAD/CAE drafting (AutoCAD), Project Management – aided in
the procurement and acquisition of goods and services, Sales –
supported sales department in producing RFPs, and identifying
potential future clientele.

Jan 2011 Services Technician, Latun Hood
- Worked as a service technician providing hands on engineering
maintenance and repair services for HVAC industrial kitchen exhaust
systems. Assigned tasks often included troubleshooting system
electrical panels and repairing circuit breakers; as well as
repairing, replacing, and installing exhaust fan motors. Frequently
worked alongside licensed electricians and mechanics to fix system
performance irregularities and failures.

Summer 2008 Coop Internship, Providence Healthcare, Toronto, Canada
- Assisted the hospital building services and facility manager in
costing and estimating potential contractors, while also verifying
design compliance of ongoing and completed works. Participated in
engineering assessment, solution generation, and CAD/CAM modeling of
the building’s HVAC, Fire, Water, Energy and Safety systems.
Additionally conducted small to minor project management duties
corresponding to the manager’s daily operational portfolio.

ENGINEERING HIGHLIGHTS

Engineering Projects

Enterprise Level Building Integration Pilot Project

- Currently working with a team of engineers and technical designers at
RSI on enterprise level real estate energy monitoring pilot projects
for two of Canada’s largest banks. The majority of the sites actively
being monitored in real time (to date) across Canada & US already had
operational BAS platforms installed. It is within the scope of both
pilots to integrate our BAS platform with the pre-existing platforms
(where possible) to provide remote monitoring and analysis. The
complementary aspect to BAS integration is to devise unique power
monitoring networks for each branch that provides visibility into the
electrical consumption behaviourof the individual retail branches. All
data is collected remotely through a VPN, hosted, and analysed on
servers stored at the Robinson head office. Full pilot roll-out to over
3500 branches across Can & US ball-parks the combined monetized value
of the proj...
