CAREER OBJECTIVES
A career in the field of Ocean Engineering; preferably a hands-on opportunity dealing with an aspect of data acquisition. I would also like to further my study in the future by working toward a master’s degree in a field of engineering. I also plan on obtaining my Professional Engineer license.

EXPERIENCE
Woods Hole Group, Falmouth, MA Summers 2010, 2011, & 2012
Ocean Engineering Intern Program
The Ocean Engineering Intern Program at Woods Hole Group, Inc. is a competitive, limited program designed to foster the integration of academic and applied Ocean Engineering. Participants in this program are mentored by senior level scientists by participating in ongoing projects to gain experience and exposure to applied Ocean Engineering projects. Areas of experience gained include:
• Worked with the compatibility of metals and corrosion in the ocean
environment
• Practiced proper procedures for inspection, deployment, recovery, and
data downloading of ADCPs, tide gauges, CTDs, and other instrumentation
• Investigated coastal dynamic processes through the mapping of beach
profiles and through the surveying of seabed topographical changes using
echo sounders and RTK GPS instrumentation
• Participated in various field work throughout New England
• Worked with a team that prototyped and tow tank tested a patented depth
variable, streamlined body to transmit in-situ data periodically from
long-term, unattended installations
