SUMMARY
-------
Applications Engineer with 20+ years of experience in
various facets of both software and hardware engineering;
well-rounded knowledge of software development,
hardware functions and the integration of hardware
and software; industrious and capable of contributing to a
group project as well as working on a independent basis.
I am always willing to commit whatever time and effort
required for complete the task at hand. I have
demonstrated the ability to successfully collaborate
closely with customers and co-workers on complex technical
projects that result in satisfied customers and profitable,
repeat business. Extensive work experience in
Korea & Taiwan has provided me with a firm understanding
of international customer relations, particularly in the
Asian market.

QUALIFICATIONS
--------------
My employment with several major automatic test equipment
(ATE) manufacturers has given me an opportunity to utilize
a wide range of test equipment, peripherals and software.
Although my background has been primarily involved with
test equipment and relative software, the general skills
I have acquired are applicable to many areas of endeavor.

These include:

* The ability to listen and assimilate information.
* The ability to organize time and effort productively.
* The ability to analyze data and effectively present
it to other parties.
* The ability to work individually and within diverse
group dynamics.
* A sound knowledge of C/C++
software development environments.
* Exposure to scripting languages such as PERL.

The specific equipment experience includes,
in chronological order:

- MOSAID -
MS34xx, MS41xx series and MS4205 test systems using both
‘C’ language and the Graphic Sequence Editor (GSE)

- Hewlett-Packard (Agilent) -
HP82000 & HP83000 test systems using ‘C’ language and the
HP-UX based menu-programming environment

- Teradyne -
J937, J993, J994 & J997 test systems and interfacing to
wafer probe stations and production package handlers

- Megatest -
Genesis II test system using a ‘C’ based language in a
XENIX environment and product handling equipment interface

- Sentry (Schlumberger) -
Series 20/21 test systems using
FACTOR & FST2 assembly languages, Z80 assembly and Pascal

WORK EXPERIENCE
---------------
Senior Validation Engineer
Intel Corporation
Jun. 2005 – Jun. 2008

Primary activities included improvements to both the
test program development environment and scope of
test system utilization. Other responsibilities consisted
of gathering and resolving application issues encountered
by associate staff. Additional projects included the
organization, implementation and execution of
characterization plans for new M18 NOR Flash products.
The success of all these activities required close
interaction with team members, non-team participants
as well as creative individual efforts.

Major Accomplishments:

* Developed and executed characterization program for
Samsung’s OneNAND device. The results of this work were
analyzed, tabulated and formally presented to the
strategic marketing team. The marketing team subsequently
utilized it in a marketing campaign targeting OneNAND.
This effort was recognized with the reception of a
Flash Product Group
Marketing Operational Excellence Award.

* Researched and developed a software solution for testing
devices with Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
After rolling this solution out and instructing
relative personnel, this test method eliminated the need
for costly complex H/W design and significantly reduced
test development time for products with SPI.

* Generated a technique for characterizing devices on the
using reduced slew rates on input drive channels.
This was not previously possible on any other
test platform available within Intel. Its introduction
facilitated validation of previously untested datasheet
AC parameters and allowed testing discreet components
in a simulated “stack” environment.
This effort was also recognized with the reception on a
Flash Product Group
Design Engineering Operational Excellence Award.

* Assumed the role as Post Silicon validation lead for
several M18 NOR products. These products typically
included new features that required test code development
and new characterization techniques.
In addition to test development other responsibilities of
this role included analyzing/processing all
collected data and periodically presenting/publishing
the results to other groups and team members.

Senior Applications Engineer
MOSAID Systems Inc.
May 1995 - Apr. 2003

Duties involved the pro-active gathering and subsequent
resolution of customer application requirements.
Often this required differentiating customer perception
from actual needs. Achieving this was accomplished by
working closely with customers and developing
strong collaborative relationships.
The target customer base for this work was located
primarily in Korea and Taiwan. The fielding and delegation
of effort to resolve customer problems such as
system hardware failures was also a responsibility
of this position.

Primary Projects:

* Developed initial test programs for two emerging
technologies, QDR-II and DDR-II memory devices.
These programs were used as demonstration vehicles and
then served as a definitive base from which a customer
could continue to build.

* Defined and implemented characterization routines to
demonstrate and validate MS4205 enhanced performance
specifications to new customers.
This undertaking proved successful in increasing customer
understanding and satisfaction with the then new
test system and its performance envelope.

* Functioned as the primary application engineer for
several initial test system shipments to major
Asian semiconductor manufacturers.
Swift problem diagnosis and resolution to
customer concerns instilled confidence and contributed to
one of the largest test system orders
in the company’s history.

* Generated the company’s first complex, comprehensive
SDRAM test program. This greatly increased the
tester’s usefulness and increased subsequent sales during
the initial development phases of the then new
SDRAM & SGRAM technologies.

* Conducted on-site formal and informal customer training
