Management and Planning
Reduced the Dry Cargo and Ammunition Ship (T-AKE) Post Delivery Test and Trials by 8.5 months saving $24.5 million in total program costs through innovative coordination of test events. Set the groundwork for the Integrated Operational Testing and Evaluation Program for the Navy.
Initiated process that resulted in improved Magnetic Silencing Facilities, supporting testing of the Advanced Degaussing System, and saved subsequent ship programs $425,000 per ship measured.
Using detailed planning with emphasis on efficiency, saved over 328 man-hours per week for the Housing Department, increasing time available for in-rate training, directly in support of crew certification.
Developed and managed the execution of complicated public relations and logistics plan for over 46 foreign ship and submarine visits to the Hampton Roads areas.
