The work was challenging because our department was trying along this period to introduce the new technologies and migrate from legacy core and access networks to NGN (Next Generation Network) , IMS ( IP Multimedia Subsystem) and for access Network; the implementation of MSAN Equipments ( Multi-service access Network ).
Responsibilities:
Writing Specification Requirements to implement the new core and access network technologies (NGN, IMS , MSAN, GPON, SBC), which include:
- Advanced Technical specifications of the equipments and their abilities ,
- Architectures matching the standards and also the provider network requirements
- Dimensioning needs and inputs.
Responsible for the introduction of the VoIP equipments SBC on the International Network to offer international unlimited calls using Public IP Network; Technical requirements, architectures and dimensioning inputs.
Studying suppliers offers :
- Negotiate with suppliers their offers by meetings, workshops and exchanging emails and official documents.
- Writing and presenting report including the summary of the studies, the comparison between offers and finally conclusion.
Observation of the core Network Quality of Services and give the appropriate solutions; sending proposals to technical department like re-dimensioning, traffic rerouting, expansion and migration to new equipments or links.
