PROJECTS
• Built a multipurpose and programmable Microcomputer, Winter 2011
This microcomputer was built using a Motorola 68000 Microprocessor along with two EPROM and a MC6821 input/output device over a course of 5 weeks. I then programmed this microcomputer to perform basic operations such as configuring some led’s and testing the functionality of an AND logic gate. I diagnosed and fixed the hardware design when it did not give the desired output. In the end, my lab partner and I were the only ones to have a functional microcomputer.

• Created a Voice over IP system for VideoScout software, Summer 2012
VideoScout was developing their software for Android devices and wanted a communication feature. I was given 2 months and a budget to find a way to establish this ability to communicate so it can be incorporated this into the software. I was able to learn Java through tutorials online which led me to explore open source code. This steered me to discover Asterisk, a VoIP host, and SipDroid, a VoIP app. I was able to make the two programs work together and finished the project in 3 weeks at no cost.

• Developed an Automated Demand Response System, Winter 2013
Using a PIC18F Microcontroller, Visual Basic, Verilog, C and MySQL. The program powered 2 motors and monitored their power consumptions. Users were able to set a value so that if either of the motors used more power than a predetermined value, the program automatically reduced its power or shut off completely.

SKILLS
