• Have 2 years of recent graduate school experience in design of various bridges and building structure.
• Certified Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) professional.
• Have 3 years of industry experience in one of the India’s leading real estate development company as a project engineer.
• Familiar with specifications in AASHTO, AISC steel construction manual, ACI-318, ASCE-07
• Implemented cost effective, time efficient and quality producing methods in building construction which saved about $200,000 to the company.
• Ability to analyze complex structural problems using Energy methods (such as Rayleigh-Ritz, Castigliano, plastic analysis etc).
• Hand-on experience in AUTOCAD, SAP2000, software programming.
• Research-oriented, motivated, proactive, self-starter with strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION
Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Emphasis – Structures). (GPA: 3.84/4) Aug 11 – May 13
The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA.

Bachelor of Technology (Honors) in Civil Engineering (GPA: 8.25/10) July 04 – May 08
Indian Institute of Technology- Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
(Secured a position in top 4 from a batch of 45 students)

SKILL SET
• Microsoft Office Suite, SAP2000, REVIT, MATLAB, MATHCAD, ANSYS, AUTOCAD, HTML, SQL, Java programming.

GRADUATE SCHOOL PROJECTS
• Bridge Engineering: Designed a 300ft. multi-span Highway Bridge for both steel and pre-stressed concrete superstructures. AASHTOLRFD Bridge Design specifications 6th edition was used for the design. (Secured top grade – ‘A’ in Bridge engineering course).
• Advanced Steel Design: Designed the moment resisting steel frames of a five storied office building in SAP2000 using Second Order Analysis. The provisions in AISC steel Construction Manual14th edition were used for design and analysis.
• Advanced Concrete Design: Developed a solver program to determine the actual moment capacity of a doubly reinforced concrete section based on Todeshini beam theory and the results were compared with the results from standard Tri-linear equations. Performed the parametric studies like moment- curvature, ductility ratio vs. compression reinforcement and tension reinforcement etc.
• Seismic Design of Buildings: Designed the concentrically braced steel frames of a five storied office building in accordance with the seismic provisions in ASCE 07, and Seismic Design of steel buildings.
• Finite Element Analysis: Performed modal Analysis of a four storied concrete building using finite elements in SAP2000to determine the natural period and estimate the mass of the building.
• Structural Dynamics: Developed a program to perform the modal analysis of three storied steel portal frame using MATLAB. It also determines the natural period and the maximum drift of the frame when subjected to three given major seismic loadings.
