The goal of this task is to rebalance dealer job threads in SMS for the extract generation process, so that all the jobs can be finished as close as possible and in a timely fashion. It is understood that in reality it is impossible to make all jobs complete at the same time. Our objective is to shorten the gap of the length of time difference between all the jobs and to minimize machine idling resources during prolong wait time between jobs. There was a hardware (AS400) upgrade in September 2011. With the improved machine processing power, we could split the extract process into more than 22 job threads as to optimize the usage of machine resources. However the number of job threads should not be overwhelmed. Base on the performance analysis result, it is better to keep the number of job threads within 30 and may be extended up to 33 threads.
