PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Fundamentals of Aircraft Design Sizing Project, Arizona State University March-May 2013
• Collaborated with three engineering students to design a commercial plane given certain parameters such as maximum capacity, weight, distance of flight, and the Federal Aviation Regulations.
• SolidWorks was utilized to design the final exterior and interior of the aircraft.
• Coded flight plan using MATLAB which took into account the flight condition change per the altitude and weight change as fuel was burned.
High Speed Aerodynamics Wave Reflection Project, Arizona State University November-December 2012
• Configured a testing method to evaluate disturbed reflection waves.

Case Study Competition - 3rd Place (15 teams), Regional Leadership Development Conference April 2012
• Led four engineering student leaders in a challenge which consisted of formulating a solution to a deteriorating SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) chapter on campus and formally presenting it to a large audience.
• Designed presentation as the project leader, and effectively utilized the skills and ideas of all my team members.

Robot Building Competition, Arizona State University August 2010
• Constructed a robot with limited materials to raise a Ping-Pong ball higher than any other robot on a given layout setting.
• Devised a method to achieve a higher altitude after analyzing the commonly used solutions used in this challenge. .

• Oversee a team of 13 motivated brothers to provide Arizona State University with well-planned, culture-enriched, social, and educational events that ranged from 30-200 participants.
• Raised, wrapped and delivered over 300 toys to a local, title 1 elementary school.

Co-President, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) 2012-2013
• Managed 15 executive members to effectively coordinate and lead an organization of over 100 members while planning and assisting in events beneficial to all students on campus as well as the Hispanic community.
