She provides support to hazard analysis and quality assurance at Sandia Facilities in support of Operational and Facility Safety Projects. Her support includes hazard identification, hazard evaluation, qualitative risk assessment, thread analysis, document review and development, and explosives safety. Ms. Howard is also a trained scribe for hazard analysis workshops.

Throughout her employment with the Wet Chemistry Lab, she was responsible for sample login and processing, including measurement of the pH, conductivity and alkalinity of water samples.
