The scope of these projects ranged from extensive expansion and refurbishment of existing facilities to the supply of new power generation plants.

Customer – Petrotrin, Trinidad & Tobago, Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel Project.
Directed and managed the engineering team, in alliance with the Client, to oversee the scope of the main contractor (located in Korea) and ensure contractual compliance.
Developed and implemented a revised execution strategy to realise savings for the Client of over 20% of the overall man-hours.

Project Manager Apr ’09 – Nov ’09
Customer – Eichleay, CA, USA, Valero Flue Gas Scrubber Project.
Completed ‘cold-eyes’ assessment of the remaining scope of work to develop a forecast of the remaining man-hours.

Off-Site Fabrication Manager Jun ’08 – Mar ’09
Customer - Petro-Canada, Montreal Coker Project, Montreal, QC.
Developed an execution strategy for the off-site fabrication of all steel, piping, and the assembly and delivery of over 130 engineered modules.
This execution strategy identified cost savings of over $30M.
Managed the implementation and performance of all contracts, engineering/construction coordination, materials management, shop coordination, expediting, quality surveillance, and the logistics of all materials to support the overall program.

Project Manager Aug ’07– May ’08
Customer – Shell Canada Ltd., Shell Hoist Project, Sarnia, ON.
Coordinated the scope development studies for the water management, coke handling and dust mitigation areas.
Customer – Bechtel (for Newfoundland and Labrador Refining Corporation).
Managed the overall project execution and completion, to approved budget and schedule, of a Process Design Package utilising Conoco Phillips Delayed Coker technology.

Project Engineering Manager Dec ’05 – Jul ’07
Customer - Bechtel (for Reliance Industries Ltd), Jamnagar Export Refinery Project, India (World’s largest refinery).
Directed engineering team (200+) to successfully complete the detail engineering of four major process units, including support work for other execution centres. Work was executed within a global multi-office environment and in close collaboration with the Client.
Total scope was over 500,000 man-hours and was completed within budget and schedule.

Project Manager Aug ’05 – Nov ’05
Various Clients, Lube Oil Technology Projects, Projects located world-wide.
Implemented work practices to improve efficiency of executing Process Licensed Packages.
Customer - Petro-Canada, Lime Water Softener Overflow Study (Incident), Mississauga.
Directed the overall investigation and produced the final report for the Ministry of Labour.

Led the development of a cost estimate for a number of significant process utility areas.

Managed the development and execution of the Sulphur Complex Contracts, including all commercial and engineering activities, to ensure full compliance with key performance factors of the project. Value of contracts were approx. $500M.
