• GMV and NSTT: Technical Engineering Program Manager responsible for power train development and delivery of the SOCOM NSTT covert fast attack lightly armored vehicle, and the SOCOM U.S. Navy SEAL GMV1. Leveraged existing components to develop a 6.0L power train system with minimal development and procurement costs and reduce validation testing, which resulted in a quicker delivery schedule. Established a trusting relationship with our partner Indigen Armor LLC.
• ATX: Converted and militarized the standard Navistar 13L in-line engine for military applications for the Tatra vehicle for a Canadian multi-wheeled tactical ATX vehicle RFQ.
• JLTV: Technical Engineering Program Manager responsible for engine development and delivery of the BAE\Navistar Joint Light Tactical Vehicle. Retrofitted an existing diesel engine which was installed in a new vehicle to meet DOD requirements. Developed a strong customer relationship with BAE.
• HMMWV: Retrofitted and installed a more powerful fuel efficient alternative diesel engine to the existing vehicle to meet new mission performance requirements. This V6 engine outperformed all other contenders.
• MRAP: Led a group of engineers and union personnel (engine builders, lab technicians, tool and die makers) to fully instrument and build one production validation engine for offsite calibration work for the MRAP II. This new engine was built and ready for testing in three days. Three weeks later, a more powerful vehicle was presented to the government and Navistar was awarded an additional one billion dollar contract to deliver more MRAPs to Iraq and Afghanistan.
