Updated all tool prints for 9L head line giving the tool room and tool regrind area the information they need to set and regrind all tools accurately. Reviewed part prints and participated in DPARs with CI, design, and quality engineers to make a better quality part and all tiers of the 9L head forward and backward compatible to improve the manufacturing process. Planned, coordinated, and performed manufacturing projects to improve the process of machining and quality of parts. Reviewed routings, methods, layouts, tools and control plans implementing needed revisions to current operations. Identified and implemented quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas. Analyzed, developed and implemented new manufacturing processes and technology such as the addition of new gauging hardware and software to gauging stations.

Collaborated with quality and manufacturing engineers in all 5 machining departments about machining processes and KCCs to provide accurate SPC charting. Created and monitored capability, SPC monitoring, and process event charts for engineers. Cleaned up and maintained John Deere’s gauging databases and servers to improve processing time and allow data in Infinity to be easily accessible and navigable.
