I have nearly 14 years of broad ranging multi-disciplinary from structural engineering designs (iron ore, copper and mineral sands onshore structures, marine/offshore structures and transport infrastructure), project management and construction management experience in Australia, United Kingdom and Malaysia. I have been responsible for mine industrial infrastructure design, wharf secondary structural design, railway infrastructure asset management and on-site construction and project management of major infrastructure projects.
I have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. In addition to being results oriented, creative and self-motivated, I also have excellent interpersonal skills.

Calibre Global, Perth, Australia – Yandi 64Mtpa Study
18th August 2014 to 31st October 2014
Senior Structural Engineer for Yandi 64 Study Project (Y64) which is to expand production to a sustained 64 Mtpa. This will be achieved by the debottlenecking of the feed to the Yandi Loop OPF.
Y64 structural scope of works includes adding new platform at Crushing Building to support new bypass conveyor with two new transfer stations. Assessing and modifying Transfer Station 212 to accommodate new apron feeders and chutes with sluices. Checking drive station for new tension loads and dynamic study of overland conveyor CV 212. MTO calculations and attending review meetings, HAZID Constructability, Operability and Maintainability meeting.

Calibre Global, Perth, Australia – Rio Tinto’s Yandi Sustaining Project

Senior Structural Engineer. Responsibilities are as follow:-
• Steel structural checks including connection checks of Scrubbing and Screening building including scrubber skid frames to Rio Tinto’s Design Criteria and the Australian Standards AS 4100.
• Plate work check such as chute, trammel cover, oversize bin and surge bin.
• Concrete foundation checks for tanks, scrubbing building, electrical switch room and bins.
• Design scrubbing elevator concrete pit to Alimak’s requirements and the Australian Standards.
• Other checking and design works include conveyor support frames, monorails and lifting frames.

Ausenco, Perth, Australia – Bozshakol Copper Project in Kazakhstan
November 2012 to 5th July 2013
Senior Civil/Structural Engineer within Minerals and Metals division. Responsible in designing dust filter chamber support platform, monorails, pipe supports and steel plate works of distributors, hoppers, bins and overflow hopper. Designed Primary Crusher waste concrete chamber, pumps concrete foundations, tank concrete ring beams and concrete slabs. Remodelling and checking of 4–span simply supported steel bridge with 350mm thick in-situ concrete deck. In this project, snow, ice/frost and earthquake loads are considered.

Ausenco, Perth, Australia – Kwale Mineral Sands Project in Kenya
March 2012 to November 2012
Senior Civil/Structural Engineer within Minerals and Metals division. Responsible in designing FEED and wet Zircon building, screens building, cyclone building slimes thickening structure, conveyor trusses, monorails, transfer station, pipe and cable tray supports. Other responsibility includes designing concrete footings, 25 tonne monopole jib crane foundation, air intake foundation and dynamic analysis of the screens structure and also shaking tables platform. Also responsible in checking product storage, tailing disposal and pipe rack structures. In this project, earthquake load is considered.

Sinclair Knight Merz – Rio Tinto Expansion Project, Australia
March 2010 to March 2012
Structural Engineer within Maritime Section in Perth project office for Cape Lambert Port B 200 Mtpa Iron Ore Phase A and B projects. Responsible in designing and analysing 350mm think wharf deck subject to heavy crane load, secondary steel (conveyor supports, pipe supports, pipe anchors, cable tray supports and lifting lugs), valve station platform substation truss, cathode protection, modular structure lifting and analysis on large vessel mooring lines during construction. Other task was dynamic check on loading point conveyor support structure.

Structural Engineer within Maritime and Infrastructure Section in Perth office. Responsible for bridges design and project management.
• Victoria River Bridge. Provide bridge superstructure assessment analysis – grillage analysis and prestressed beam analysis with SAM-Leap5 bridge software.
• Geraldton Southern Transport Corridor Stage 2. Provide preliminary design and report for two tee-roff highway bridges according to the Main Roads Western Australia specifications.
• Glenelg South Road Tram Overpass in Adelaide, South Australia. Provide tee-roff type bridge viaduct and tram station proposals.
