Responsible for the coordinating, logistics, and organizing the relocation of production lines and manufacturing facilities in Europe, Mexico, and Asia. Kemet Electronics Corporation
1996 to 2008 Engineering Manager/Project Manager: Responsible to the Vice President of Engineering for
the testing, packaging, and vision equipment for the Ceramics Capacitor Business Unit. Managed 10 direct reports consisting of electrical/mechanical/software engineers and technicians. Responsible
for 25% of capital budget exceeding $25,000,000.

• Acquired and designed integration of capital equipment to meet new product demands, existing production expansion, and quality needs in the surface mount and leaded portion of the Ceramic Business Unit. Equipment consisted of automated pick/place units, Automatic Computer controlled Testers, Inspection Equipment, and Pick/place Packaging Equipment.
• Supported domestic and international vendors to meet their production and quality requirements the most cost effective way. Worked with more than 15 vendors.
Responsible for the logistics and transfer of production equipment in facilities in China and Mexico.
• Implemented vision inspection on all finishing equipment in Mexico and China manufacturing facilities. Net Result: Reduced in-line physical PPM rates from 7000 PPM to 9 PPM, exceeding goal of less than 10 PPM.
• Increased productivity of Testing equipment from 3000 parts/min. to 4000 parts/min.
Net Result: Increased production by approximately 25%.
• Setup large chip Finishing line in China manufacturing facility. Giving company the ability to sell large chip capacitors in the Asian market. The cost of the line ranged in capital was around $400,000 US dollars. This will give capacity in income of $100,000 US dollars a day.
