• Developed MoO3, WO3, and MoS2 transparent back contacts for CuInSe2-based thin film solar cells
• Developed the new “backwall superstrate” structure for CuInSe2-based thin film solar cells
• Investigated the effect of Ag-alloying on the structural and surface properties of CuInSe2-based thin film solar cells
• Developed a Rapid Thermal Processing system and enhanced the surface properties of (Ag,Cu)(In,Ga)Se2 films

• Optimized the high-energy mechanical milling process and synthesized nanostructured MgH2 powders
• Developed Ni and Nb2O5 catalysts and decreased the dehydrogenation temperature of MgH2 by 50%
• Developed an internal oxidation process in order to fabricate alumina dispersion-strengthened copper composite
• Improved the tensile strength (300%) and fatigue strength (40%) of alumina-reinforced nanocomposites compared to the unreinforced copper.
