PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Process Engineer Intern June 2014- August 2014
Lam Research Corporation. San Jose, CA
• Solved customer’s challenging problems by working as a team with Jane Yu (Process engineer), Jong Sung Yun (Customer account manager), Kirk Ostrowski, (Customer account manager), Ilia Kalinovski (Sr. manager) in developing new/modified processes for removing photo resists and hardened carbon without residue and exceeded customer’s requirement specs in terms of quality and deadline.
• Used SEM analysis to determine the ashing rate of photo resists and to monitor residue level on the surface.
• Diagnosed the active species present in various plasmas using OES to determine the root cause of Si oxidation during H2 based plasma conditions.
Research Assistant August 2011- Present
Center for Electronic Materials Processing and Integration (CEMPI) –University of North Texas, Denton
• Fabricated novel boron carbide-based thin films using e-beam and plasma enhanced CVD (PECVD) and characterized using XPS, UPS and FTIR.
• Developed novel hetero-structure diodes by depositing composite films of boron carbide carbide and benzene/diaminobenzene/pyridine/pyrimidine on silicon for neutron detection applications.
• Deposited metals (Cu, Pt and Ta) on boron carbide films by Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) for potential diffusion barrier applications in BEOL interconnect processes.
• Deposited Tungsten by Atomic Layer deposition (ALD) of WF6 and GeH4 for applications in IC fabrication as W contacts to connect the transistors and interconnecting layers.
• Developed novel low dielectric (l...
