EXPERIENCE

SOLAR TURBINES INCORPORATED.
(10/2009 – Present) - Field Service Representative (FSR) - New York District.

• Responsible for providing technical assistance and maintenance for any of the electrical, mechanical, controls and process issues associated with turbomachinery equipment in the Solar Turbines New York District which covers all New York State, New England, and New Jersey.
• Perform exchanges of complete engines for all our product lines, gear boxes, generators, and compressors.
• During the biannual maintenance perform all or any of the following tasks:
o Calibration of all switches and transmitters and verification of correct readings in PLC and calibration PCs.
o Replacement of failed transmitters or switches as needed.
o Test all devices in the fire and gas system. Verify the fire system is registering the proper signals by simulating extreme heat, UV rays, and high methane gas concentration in the package. If any of those devices cannot be calibrated or fail, replace them.
o Inspection of the Engine and Gear Box with a 6mm or 4mm borescope. Recommend action based on results.
o Run a Vibration Survey using Bently-Nevada tools. Interpretation of the data is generally done paired with a report that I create with resulting Spectrums or Bode Plots that justify inquiries to engineering.
o Exchanging filters throughout the package. Documenting customer's compliance to best practices.
o Emissions Test. Until the engine is running and loaded, use Testo 350 Emissions Analyzer to verify NOx ppm and CO ppm are within Solar Turbines guarantee for low emissions packages.
• Responsible for Lockout-tagout activities of all power and fuel sources during maintenance procedures
• Provide team leadership for contractors during multi-personnel efforts.
• Perform On-Call duty on weekends once a month. On-the phone troubleshooting, site visits if necessary, capturing of as-running software, elevating issues through the chain of command per protocol.

(02/2008 – 10/2009) - HMI Design Engineer at Solar Turbines – San Diego.

• Responsible for console and turbine display systems design (HMI).
• Provided support on translating dual language projects (English-Spanish and English-Italian).
• Modified Electrical Schematics, Wiring Diagram, Interface, and Interconnect for Expanded Services As-Installed Drawings.
