•Work with a team of six members to design, build, maintain, and
test the carbon fiber structure of the helicopter
•Designed a system to mount motors and rotors to the structure while keeping weight to a minimum
Machine new and replacement parts for the structure
•Create short- and long-term schedules of tasks and overlook their completion
•Created the CAD drawing of the structure in SolidWorks

Gemstone Team AWE – Artificial Wind Energy, Team Member
Spring 2012 – Present

•Work with a team of seven members to design a predictive model for optimally placing
small-scale vertical-axis wind turbines in areas where artificial wind forms
•Design and build the testing equipment as a member of the construction sub-team
•Wrote a 20-page research proposal and presented it to a panel
containing several faculty members and an expert in the field
•Attended a research conference hosted by the University of Amsterdam
as one of six representatives from the United States during Summer 2013

model of NASA's Habitat Demonstration Unit, a livable habitat in space
