Professional Work Experience
Summer Intern, Primary Staining Systems Integration May 2014-August 2014
Roche Tissue Diagnostics (Ventana Medical Systems),Tucson, AZ
• Developed algorithm for paired comparison analysis of hematoxylin and eosin stained tissue samples, utilizing image registration, color deconvolution and multi-level processing of large images of proprietary format similar to BigTIFF in addition standard to JPEG and TIFF images. Implemented it using MATLAB and demonstrated applicability to detailed analysis of histological images
• Collaborated with Research, Manufacturing, and other Development teams to develop image viewing and analysis applications

Academic Projects
Blur detection for digital images using wavelet transform (Matlab, OpenCV) October 2014-December 2014
• Developed and implemented an algorithm for blur detection of sample RGB image. Symlet wavelet transform was used for edge detection and image was decomposed to form a pyramid. Blur detection scheme was based on type of edges present in image.
Intelligent Scissors for Image Composition (Matlab) February 2014-April 2014
• Developed an efficient algorithm, as better alternative to standard Snakes algorithm, using Dijkstra's algorithm for graph search incorporating on the fly training and boundary cooling mechanisms which could perform live wire boundary extraction in real time on tissue structures.
Automatic Cell Segmentation of Bacterial Microscopy Images (Matlab) November 2013-December 2013
• Developed a technique for automatic bacterial cell segmentation and an algorithm for estimation of microbial cell counting.
• Motion estimation was used to predict the growth of r...
