North Carolina State University - Graduated May, 2015 cum laude - Major GPA: 3.525
F.E. Exam passed February, 2015

B.S. In Music Technology University of North Carolina at Asheville
Graduated December, 2007 cum laude - Distinction in Music Technology - GPA: 3.65

of Power Electronics, Electric Power Systems, Communication Engineering, Introduction to Signal Processing, Special Topics: Analog Circuits, Microelectronics, Linear Systems

TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Senior Design
• Analyzed, designed, and ultimately rejected two sponsored-proposed systems for snore cancellation
• Collected detailed data on noise cancellation using phase and amplitude at specific frequencies and points in space, (a.k.a. the “cone of silence”)
• Determined an open-loop system would not provide an adequate “cone of silence”
• Investigated Least Means Squared (LMS) algorithm in depth for a closed-loop system
• Isolated the delay due to sequential A/D and D/A conversions as the source of instability through extensive iterated modeling in MATLAB

Special Topics: Analog Circuits
• Designed and built a dual symmetric +/-15V, +/-5V, power supply, (1A per side)
• Used power supply and Digilent Analog Discovery to build, test, and investigate circuits; including filters, sources, converters, and op-amps
• Designed and built buffer amplifier with variable gain and DC offset
• Researched and built analog phaser audio effect circuit
• Designed and built a sound generator comprised of the phaser circuit above, a variable low pass filter, multiple oscillators using 555 Timer ICs, and a light...
