ENGINEERING PROJECT:
Concrete Building – Reinforced Concrete, Spring 2014
Designed a two – story concrete building located in the Bronx, NY
Designed the beams, columns, girders, and spread footing
Determined the cut – off and development lengths for the reinforcing
Developed spreadsheets and SAP 2000 models to verify the calculations
Used AutoCAD to draw floor and framing plans to scale
Capstone – Senior project, Fall 2014
Designed a 5 story residential building in Las Vegas, Nevada
The structure was designed out of steel members and the gravity system for the project was chosen to be metal decking
The lateral system chosen for the project was special concentric brace frame with seismic controlling the design
Used AutoCAD for the floor plans and details of the structure, developed spreadsheets for the calculations and RISA 3D to check if the braces were adequate
