Project Engineering Experience
“WimpFi” Wireless Transmitter and Receiver Fall 2014
Designed and implemented a wireless transceiver on a Nexys2 FPGA using verilog. Created team schedule and system test plan. Utilized a simplified version of the IEEE 802.11 WiFi protocol, with four packet types and random backoff.
Infrared Light Tracking Camera Spring 2014
Built a mixed-signal system that allows a camera to follow infrared light. Utilized verilog and a CPLD for digital logic, while mainly using comparators for the analog portion of the circuit.
Servomotor Basketball Game Fall 2014
Developed a simple, small-scale basketball game using a servomotor. Designed a PID controller using MATLAB and Simulink. Fashioned a photogate out of an infrared LED and a photodetector to serve as a sensor. Tested and verified the operation of the system.

Utilized C to program a robot arm to pick up and move small wooden blocks to specific locations.
