• Over 20 years of experience in materials processing (HPHT processing, heat treatment, hot press, powder metallurgy, coating and casting) and characterization (microstructures, mechanical properties, wear behavior and failure analysis).
• Over 20 years of experience in project management, new product development and R&D.
• Over 15 years of experience in diamond single crystal growth and product development via high pressure high temperature technology (HPHT).
• 10 years of experience in high-temperature materials, metal matrix composites and ceramics.
• Effective leadership/teamwork skills, creative thinker/problem-solver, and excellent communicator.
• Broad knowledge in various engineering materials such as metal, ceramic, plastic, crystal, coating, and adhesive materials and their associated properties.
• Hands-on experience in metallography, FTIR, SEM, TEM, XRD, EDS, EPMA, DTA, SIMS, HPHT machines, vacuum hot press (VHP), arc-melting and hardness testers.
• Extensive DOE and SPC skills.• Successfully developed large white single crystal diamond product line with a size over 3ct.

Head of R&D/Chief Scientist, IIa Technologies Sbd Bhd (Previously known as Gemesis Malaysia), Penang, Malaysia, 7/2013 – 5/2015
• Led the R&D team and successfully developed 8-15ct yellow diamond product line via developing novel metal alloy catalyst.

Director of R&D (7/2002-7/2013), Chief Scientist (8/2008-7/2013), Director of Engineering (7/2004-6/2006), Manager of Core Production Lab (7/2004-6/2006), The Gemesis Corporation, Bradenton, FL
• Built a solid R&D team which includes 5 Ph.D. scientists with diverse backgrounds.
• Led the R&D team and successfully developed new technology and new products such as orange diamonds, yellow diamonds, pink diamonds, blue diamonds and colorless diamonds.
• Successfully developed 5ct yellow diamond product line resulting in over $10 million revenue per year.
• Successfully developed many novel alloy catalysts such as Fe-Ni, Fe-Co and Fe-Co-Ti-Cu for diamond crystal growth.
• Led and wrote the SOPs for core production laboratory and HPHT machine operations.
