Biomedical Engineer
An accomplished and self-motivated Biological Systems Engineering graduate from Virginia Tech seeks a position as a biomedical technician/engineer. I have developed extensive knowledge in quality assurance practices within the medical device industry, as well as engineering concepts by executing multiple design projects in accordance with FDA system regulations. I have acquired the ability to perform preventive maintenance (PM) and calibrate various medical devices in addition to evaluating biomedical equipment issues, repairs, and safety.
I am proficient in analyzing process and operational problems beginning with the initial concept, installation, and effective implementation of complex medical equipment. This includes a skill set as an advisory representative to clinical and administrative staff on medical engineering technology, including existing and emerging technology that addresses viability, long-term suitability, and safety concerns.
My future career aspirations involve the improvement of healthcare practices through the development of materials, instruments, diagnostic devices, and other equipment applicable in the study of biomedical engineering. I consider myself a reliable, trustworthy and diligent leader who is able to perform in a team orientated environment, take initiatives, and complete assigned projects with high level of competency.
