Graduate Research Assistant: Nano Bio-systems and Bio-mimetics Lab. (August 2011– 2014)
• Led an interdisciplinary team in the study of eukaryotic cell propulsion using 2-D and 3-D high speed imaging platforms.
• Implemented mathematical models and simulations to analyze the swimming mechanisms of eukaryotic cell propulsion for future nano-robotic applications.
• Mentored and coached fellow graduate and undergraduate students on cell culture and microscopy use.

Undergraduate Research Assistant: Center for Muscoskeletal Research Lab. (March 2010 –
May 2011)
• Captured and overlaid fluoroscopic knee images with computer models of Femoral and Tibial implants. These images and models were then used in computer simulations of human gait; with the results used to aid in Orthopaedic product development of knee implants.
• Supported Graduate Students with their research in the medical device field.
• Segmented CT scans of the knee.

University of Tennessee: Senior Design Project. (August 2009 – May 2010)
• Designed an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Simulator for UT Medical that aids surgeons with practicing for aneurysm repair surgery.
• Focused on acquiring and testing materials for their ability to retain liquid flowing at blood pressure and their ability to retain quality after cut and sutured.

Engineering Co-op with Kimberly Clark Corp. (May 2011 - July 2011)
• Provided support to the Huggies Team on the improvement and introduction of the new Huggies Slip-on Diaper to the market.
• Organized meetings to ensure the Huggies Slip-on Diaper met preset specifications across manufacturing plants and machines.
• Conducted tests to correctly quantify the performance of the Huggies Slip-on Diaper.
• Presented terms’ work and accomplishments to the entire company.

Engineering Co-op with Kimberly Clark Corp. (May 2010 - Aug 2010)
• Designed test fixtures and test methods to test and ensure the Digestive Health Team’s new Enteral Feeding Tubes met medical device standards and consumer expectations.
• Used my knowledge of SolidWorks to design the test fixtures.

• Troubleshoot Asian Market’s customer complaints about Lint performance of Huggies Baby Wipes and suggest solutions.
• Developed Test Method and designed machine to correctly monitor Lint performance of Huggies Baby Wipes.
