Education

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, NJ
Bachelor of Science, Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering , May 2011

Professional Experience

Siemens Energy, Inc., Hamilton, NJ
Engineer II, Compressor and Pump Engineering, Nov 2014 - Present
Engineer II, Steam Turbine Engineering, Jan 2014 - Oct 2014
Engineer I, Steam Turbine Engineering, Jun 2011 - Dec 2013
• Provided technical dispositions to resolve emergent issues during steam turbine, centrifugal compressor, and pump commissioning, planning, and outages.
• Interfaced with customers in office meetings, in-house and on site to effectively demonstrate technical expertise and customer sensitivity in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Utilized an understanding of steam turbine, centrifugal compressor, and pump component design, auxiliary system design and turbine operation to troubleshoot service issues while applying Siemens approved practices and procedures. This includes rotors, diaphragms, impellers, valves, etc.
• Lead and developed service engineering process specifications that support the continued technical development of turbomachinery inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
• Designed and implemented mechanical fix to compromised closing blade locking pin holes.
• Designed and implemented standardized steam turbine rotor blading for 7 deviating designs.
• Launched blade design overhaul; re-designing to conform to newer machining and operational standards.
• Researched and developed universal (footprint) steam turbine governor for direct replacement in the Kellogg Ammonia fleet.
• Performed FEA stress analysis on actuator brackets, impellers, steam chests, and steam turbine blading, and shrink rings on tapers. A contact analysis was also performed on the shrink fit taper.
• Performed CFD analysis on pump end head seals to check for water erosion on critical surfaces.
• Defined and managed time effectively to provide timely responses based on outage and commissioning needs while also attending to personal technical growth opportunities.
• Provided technical instruction for setup and test procedures for pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
• Supported 5S, 5 Why, and other lean manufacturing efforts.
